I join His Excellency the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel and over 6 million Akwa Ibomites to celebrate our state on her 30th Anniversary. At 30 we have reasons to be proud of our heritage as a people. In Nigeria today we have risen to be a shining star, up there in the sky, spotted and admired by all.
We boast of some of the best facilities in this country: our roads, sports facilities, hospitals and schools are amongst the best in Nigeria.
Recently towers of industries are rising in our state, signaling the abundant opportunities that abound in our state.
An Akwa Ibom person is now seen as a privileged and advantageous fellow, no longer as one only good for running errands.
I join our great people who are rolling out the drums in celebration today. I congratulate His Excellency Governor Udom Emmanuel on this historic occasion.
