We had earlier reported that Davido was almost beaten at a London nightclub, few days after he revealed he almost lost his chain at a Kenyan nightclub.
Few days after a video of a man reportedly trying to rob Nigerian musician, Davido’s gold neckchain went viral, the young man in question has come out to declare his innocence.
Giving his name as Mike, the young man who was blocked from reaching the musician by his bouncers, said he wasn’t planning to steal from him.
Mike confirmed to naijacityblog, that he had indeed approached the ‘banana fall on you’ singer, not for any ulterior motive, but just to get a quick hug from one of his favourite musicians.

In the video shared online, Davido was seen reacting sharply by pulling back as he saw Mike approaching him, in what appeared to be an attempt to yank his multimillion Dollar chain off.
